A new art piece designed to inspire students just moved into the Emily Griffith Campus lobby.

Students can interact with three different sculptures— making them move and twirl across the ceiling.

The space is meant to inspire people entering and leaving the building. And so far, the kids seem to like the hands-on sculptures a lot.

John King of Lyons is one of the artists involved in the project. He hopes that as the children pass through, they take a few minutes each day to stop and play.

“Children are allowed to walk to the center of this lobby and turn the heart—activate the heart of the entire building—and this is just profoundly different than what they run into in other places,” King said.

The project took a year and a half to complete, and cost about $250,000.
