Students are two Colorado high schools walked out of class Wednesday to protest the election of Republican Donald Trump.

Several students at Boulder High School have called the 9NEWS newsroom to say they are “protesting against hate” and “against the election results.”

Sky9 video captured scores of students who were involved in the walkout.

Students at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Early College also walked out.

Denver Public Schools said the students are encouraged to exercise their right to free speech, but asked that they stay on school property for “safety reasons.”
