The Walgreens drug-store chain said today that its metro-Denver drug stores with healthcare clinics will soon begin offering testing for sexually transmitted infection,s including HIV, Hepatitis B and C, chlamydia and gonorrhea.

As of April 25, nurse practitioners and physician assistants at Walgreens Healthcare Clinics in Denver and 17 other markets will be available to consult with patients to determine the testing process.

The Walgreens website shows eight Walgreens Healthcare Clinic locations in metro Denver.

The method of testing varies depending on the condition of the patient. Healthcare clinic providers will be able to offer treatment or a referral to a specialist if needed.
