You might have already known Wednesday is International Walk to School Day, a day where kids forego their parents’ cars and buses and get themselves to school on their own two feet.

Boulder is also celebrating an alternative transportation holiday on Wednesday.

The city is launching “Bus to Work Day,” an effort to show off the city’s transit service and get people off of the roads.

During Bus to Work Day, commuters get free rides thanks to RTD, Via, Transfort, Google and the City of Boulder, local routes will be free.

In addition, riders get free treats in the morning and chair massages in the evening.
