Jackknifed semi caused trouble on I-70 near Lookout Mountain

Traffic had to be rerouted to Genessee - all drivers farther west than that were told to take U.S. 6/Canyon Road back to the metro - the road reopened just before 3 p.m.

A jackknifed semi shut down all lanes of Interstate 70 eastbound coming back from the high county near Lookout Mountain for about an hour Saturday afternoon, traffic officials said.

The Colorado Department of Transportation announced the accident around 2 p.m. and then reopened just before 3 p.m.

Traffic had to be rerouted to Genessee - all drivers farther west than that were told to take U.S. 6/Canyon Road back to the metro - the road reopened just before 3 p.m.
