One person was killed after what police refer to as an “industrial accident” occurred Friday morning at a recycling facility in Englewood.

According to a news release from the Englewood Police Department, officers and emergency personnel arrived at All Recycling at around 8:30 a.m. after receiving a report of an explosion.

Englewood Police are characterizing what occurred as an accident, but the investigations bureau is working with All Recycling to determine exactly what caused the apparent explosion.

The man who died has not yet been identified.

More information about his death is expected to come from the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
