A second person has died as a result of a six-vehicle crash that happened Monday morning, Lakewood Police said on Thursday.

43-year-old Anna Huffman was the driver of a minivan stopped at a red light behind four other vehicles at the Alameda Avenue and Oak Street intersection when her car was rear-ended by a truck.

The crash caused Huffman's vehicle to collide into the car in front of her and set a chain reaction that resulted in the multi-vehicle accident, Lakewood Police said.

Huffman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 3-year-old son, Jason Huffman, was airlifted to Children’s Hospital Colorado with life-threatening injuries, and died Wednesday.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
