We're used to seeing 737s taking off at the airport. We're not used to seeing a building take off, which is what this video feels like.
Here we see three Boeing C-17 Globemasters taking off in quick succession at Denver International Airport.
According to DIA, the planes landed and took off in less than 10 minutes as part of a training exercise.
Here are some cool (if you think planes are cool) facts about the Globemaster, courtesy of Boeing:
- It can be refueled in flight, same as Air Force One
- It has 33 world records, including marks for short takeoffs and landings
- Eight C-17s completed the longest airdrop in history by flying more than 8,000 nautical miles from the U.S. to Central Asia, dropping troops and equipment after more than 19 hours in the air
