Crews worked to remove a car that drove off the road and into an icy pond Tuesday morning in southeast Denver.

Greg Pixley with the Denver Fire Department says crews were called to the 9800 block of Vassar Street – near Havana Street and Parker Road – at about 5:30 a.m. when a resident heard a crash and saw a car on top of the ice.

Crews arrived to find the vehicle submerged. Pixley says no injuries were reported.

Investigators are working to determine what caused the vehicle to crash into the pond.
