The Denver Rescue Mission is asking for the community’s help donating turkeys ahead of Thanksgiving.

The organization says it has gotten 7,534 turkeys so far – and still needs 7,466.

The turkeys not only help people who come to the Denver Rescue Mission, but also 100 other agencies in Denver.

You can donate frozen turkeys weighing 12 pounds or more here:

Lawrence Street Shelter (SE corner of Park Avenue West and Lawrence Street) 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily

The Crossing (Smith Road & Holly) 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily

Ministry Outreach Center (Holly & 39th) 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday
