Denver International Airport's adopted U.S. Army unit paid a special visit to the airport to thank workers for their support.

Over the years airport workers have sent care packages to the soldiers with the Task Force Mustang unit based out of Fort Carson. The men and women of the unit wore the beloved blue Mustang on their official unit patches while in Afghanistan.

On Thursday members of the unit stopped by the airport to show their appreciation. They presented the airport with the flag they flew over Afghanistan. They also flew over the iconic blue mustang statue.
