DNA samples taken in Maggie Long case

The undersheriff told 9NEWS the DNA samples being taken were not based on suspect information, but were standard in this type of investigation.
Maggie Long's death is being investigated as a homicide. The 17-year-old was found dead inside of her burned home on County Road 43 near Bailey on Dec. 1.

The Park County Sheriff's office says it's taking DNA samples as a part of their investigation into the death of Maggie Long.

The 17 year old's body was found after a fire at her home near Bailey in early December. Investigators say that fire was intentionally set and that her death was ruled a homicide. Her cause of death has not been released.

On Saturday, the Park County Undersheriff confirmed to 9NEWS that they had taken DNA samples from family members and others associated with the Long family. He did not say how many samples were taken.
