Firefighters were able to extinguish a blaze that broke out Tuesday morning in a barn in south Fort Collins.

Poudre Fire Authority says firefighters first reached the barn in the 6000 block of South Shields Street just after 6:40 a.m.

The structure was “fully involved,” according to Poudre Fire, but was quickly brought under control. The damage was contained only to the barn.

There’s no word yet on what caused the fire, or exactly how much damage was caused.

The animals inside were evacuated and unhurt, according to Poudre Fire.
