United Airlines expands flights from Denver to Hawaii and Mexico

The airline already offers year-round daily service from Denver to Honolulu, Hawaii’s capital and largest city.

United Airlines this week is expanding its portfolio of nonstop flights from Denver to Hawaii and to Mexico.

Denver International Airport’s largest carrier is turning its formerly seasonal and typically-less-than-daily service to three of Hawaii’s islands and turning it into daily, year-round nonstop service.

Meanwhile, it will launch seasonal weekly service to Cozumel, Mexico, on Saturday, making the island vacation destination the fifth city in America’s southern neighbor to have nonstop flights from DIA.

“United Airlines is excited about connecting more than 90 mainland cities to Honolulu, Kona, Lihue and Maui through Denver,” said Jake Cefolia, the vice president of sales for the Chicago-based airline, a subsidiary of United Continental Holdings Inc. (NYSE: UAL).
