A fire at a construction site near downtown Denver sent a plume of smoke into the air that was visible for miles Wednesday afternoon.

UPDATES: Smoke visible for miles after construction fire breaks out near downtown Denver

One person died in the blaze and another person remains unaccounted for. Four people were injured jumping from the burning building, and a firefighter suffered a burn injury.
