Remember all of that stimulus money the government was giving out a few years back? One Denver-area business man is in huge trouble for what he did with your tax money.

Michael Ruffatto has been charged criminally for fraud by the feds.

Instead of stimulating jobs, 9Wants to Know found he basically stimulated his own salary.

About five years ago, Ruffatto managed to convince the government to give his power company about
10-million in stimulus dollars.

It was for a drilling project up in Wyoming that should've created dozens of jobs.

But 9Wants to Know found that not-one job was created and Ruffatto paid himself about a million dollars.

Through a spokesperson, he told a Wyoming newspaper he plans to pay that money back.

He could face up to five years in prison for making false statements to the government when he requested
the funding.
