One man is in jail after Pueblo Police say one of their K-9 officers sniffed out more than a million dollars worth of cocaine during a traffic stop.
According to police, Jose Alonso Calderon Garcia was pulled over Saturday around 3 p.m. because he was weaving through traffic when entering Pueblo on northbound Interstate 25.
Police say during the stop, the police officer had his dog, Widget, do an open air sniff around the vehicle.
Widget detected drugs so the car was moved to a secure location to be searched.
Investigators say they found ten hidden packages containing cocaine with an estimated street value of $1,082,100.
Garcia was arrested on charges of possession of a schedule II with intent to distribute.
Police say he was heading to Denver from Mexico.
