After Martin Truex Jr. won the first NASCAR Cup title for Colorado-based Furniture Row Racing on Sunday, an obvious question arose:

"When is the Parade for Martin Truex Jr.? He and the entire team certainly deserve one here in Denver, but I doubt they'll get one. Could you please look into this for me?"

We specifically asked Mayor Hancock's office about a parade for Truex.

They would only say they were looking for a way to honor Truex. Let's hope it's not a proclamation or something. Those are kind of lame.

We understand NASCAR isn't a big four sport, and it doesn't have the same fan base here as it does in the South.

But it'd be nice for Furniture Row Racing's hometown fans to have some kind of chance to gather and to celebrate the first NASCAR championship won by a team West of the Mississippi
