COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police said two people are dead at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central after shots were fired inside the Colorado Springs hospital Saturday.
The original calls came in just before 1 pm for shots fired.
The victims are one male and one female, but it's unclear who shot first, according to police.
Lieutenant James Sokolik said neither party was an employee of the hospital but could not clarify if they were patients or visitors.
"When [police] arrived on scene, they did locate two deceased parties in the hospital," he said.
The hospital was not locked down because police said the affected area was contained.
