With the official election day six days away, 1,200,672 Coloradans already have voted, Secretary of State Wayne Williams said Wednesday.
That's 36 percent of the 3,343,879 Colorado registered voters whose ballots were mailed to them last week. And it's 43 percent of the 2.8 million votes that 9News political analyst Floyd Ciruli projects will be cast in this election.
According to data from Williams' office, Democrats still hold an edge over Republicans for returned ballots so far, but GOP voters continue to narrow the gap.
As of Wednesday, 443,517 Colorado Democrats have voted, 420,330 Republicans and 320,210 unaffiliated voters.
