A premiere of a documentary on one of Denver’s best will continue his tradition of giving.

“Keep a Light in Your Window,” which tells the story of Daddy Bruce Randolph, premieres on Tuesday night. Proceeds support the annual Thanksgiving basket giveaway in Daddy Bruce’s name.

The organizers behind the Feed-a-Family Thanksgiving Distribution says it is facing unprecedented problems, and are in need of extra funding.

People hope the movie premiere will help.

Daddy Bruce started the Thanksgiving basket giveaway 52 years ago, and thanks to his kindness between 25,000 to 35,000 people a year get a holiday meal.

Doors open for the movie premiere at 5:30 p.m. The film starts at 6:15 p.m.

The premiere will be held at the EXdo Event Center at 1399 35th Street in Denver. Tickets are $12 at the door, and $10 online.

The basket distribution is slated for Saturday.

All it takes is a $30 donation to feed a family of eight.
