The Salvation Army is taking applications for families needing assistance this holiday season.
Registration is taking place throughout the week:
Monday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
During these times, families can register for toys for their children and grocery store gift cards. They can do so at six locations throughout the metro area.
Anyone applying for assistance should bring:
1. A picture ID
2. 30-day current proof of address (a utility bill or lease, for example)
3. Birth certificate or school records for all children in the household

Those in need of assistance, but don't have all of the required documents, can attend the Salvation Army's Thanksgiving meal on Nov. 24 and the Holiday meal on Dec. 24. Both will be held at the Colorado Cinvention Center from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
