If you’re looking for something to do next week, you might want to think about going skiing over at Arapahoe Basin, the season could start any day.

A combination of cold weather and snow helped snowmakers crank out a lot of snow nearly covering one run. There’s enough that crews are rushing to put on the finishing touches at the ski area because COO Alan Henceroth says opening day could happen any day now.

“We are ready to open just about anytime we had a fantastic week of snowmaking, and we are waiting for one or two more cold nights and we will get this place open,” said Henceroth.

Over at Loveland they have also made a lot of snow and say they’re hoping next week will be very productive for snowmaking so that they can open soon as well.
