DENVER – There's a bicycle shop in Denver that is unlike any other. It's full of frames, forks, chains, wheels and tires.

Not to mention seats and handle bars, among other parts. Thousands of parts, and they are all donated. Bike lovers go there for free to build, and maintain bicycles of all types.

Welcome to the Bike Pit. It's located in an old industrial area, on the other side of the tracks. Literally. Trains go by all the time.

It's run by a group of volunteers who have something in common with the people who use the place. They all love bikes.

When we visited we saw people building and fixing touring bikes, mountain bikes, and hybrid bikes.

Two guys were tweaking their "freak bike," a "tall bike" that looked impossible to ride but obviously they had mastered it.

Another man was there to try and recreate the bike he had when he was a kid. The Bike Pit is also a place where young people come to hang out, trade stories or place music.

Yes, there is no other place like it in town, a place to be, bond and build bikes.
