Two men are in custody after authorities say they evaded police early Tuesday morning and hit a Douglas County deputy’s patrol vehicle.

It all started at around 3 a.m. Tuesday, when the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at a liquor store in Castle Pines.

Deputy Chad Teller with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says when police arrived, the two suspects took off in a car and headed north on Interstate 25.

They then headed west on C-470 and hit the deputy’s vehicle at Yosemite Street, Teller said.

No one was injured during the incident, and the suspects – who have not been identified – have since been taken into custody.

Teller says investigators are looking into the possibility that these two men were involved in other burglaries.
