Radio DJ at center of Taylor Swift groping trial lands new job in Mississippi

Stonewall Jackson, David Mueller's chosen pseudonym, is the name of a Confederate general who served during the American Civil War.

The radio DJ who was thrust into the national spotlight after he tried and failed to win a lawsuit against Taylor Swift is behind a microphone once again.

David Mueller has returned to the airwaves at a Mississippi radio station -- Greenwood's KIX 92.7 -- under the on-air name Stonewall Jackson.

In 2015, Mueller filed a lawsuit against Swift in a Denver federal court, alleging the 10-time Grammy winner was the reason he was fired from his high paying ($150,000 per year) job at country radio station KYGO.

His termination stemmed from what happened at a meet and greet at the Pepsi Center two years earlier. Swift said Mueller reached under her skirt and grabbed her "bare ass." Mueller steadfastly denied that he did, saying during the days-long trial that he wasn't sure where his hand landed during a photo with the superstar, but it wasn't under her skirt.

In August of last year, a jury of eight sided with Swift, agreeing that the then-51-year-old groped the then-23-year-old.

She was awarded $1.

Today, months after that verdict, Mueller has surfaced in Mississippi.

Stonewall Jackson, Mueller's chosen pseudonym, is the name of a Confederate general who served during the American Civil War.

According to the KIX website, Mueller is part of the "Jackson & Jonbob" morning show. He also works as a marketing consultant, his bio on the site reads.

Mueller has denied that he touched Swift inappropriately, saying during the trial and in an interview after the verdict that Swift was mistaken.

“What I’m saying is I didn’t do what they said,” the ex-DJ, David Mueller, told ABC News’ Clayton Sandell after the court ruling. “I never grabbed her. I never had my hand under her skirt and I can pass a polygraph.”

9NEWS has reached out to Mueller and his co-host "Jonbob" for a statement.
