LAKEWOOD — A 16-year-old boy suffered critical injuries when he was hit by a car Tuesday morning while walking across Wadsworth Boulevard against a red light, Lakewood Police say.
Police say several witnesses told officers the boy was walking with his 15-year-old brother at the time at the intersection with West 26th Avenue.
The vehicle that hit the teen was traveling southbound on Wadsworth at the time, police say. The driver stayed on the scene and has cooperated with investigators.
Police say there are no indications drugs or alcohol were involved.
