A fire station that's under construction in Aurora caught fire on Wednesday afternoon.
The station, which is being built on the 1880 block of South Flatrock Trail in Aurora, caught fire before 5 p.m.
The station wasn't set to open for a few more months, and has been under construction since summer.
Flames were visible as the structure burned, and thick black smoke plumed throughout the air.
Aurora Fire Rescue says no one was inside, and the flames were confined to the attic, leading firefighters to believe construction equipment didn't cause it to start.
It's unclear what may have sparked the fire. An investigation is underway.
