DENVER - There are a lot of excellent teachers in the world, but it's the teachers that inspire, make learning fun and give every ounce of themselves in the classroom and out that are remembered through a person's life.

One of those teachers is at Bradley International School in Denver. Meet third-grade teacher Meg Cypress. She's one of our 9Teachers Who Care winners.

Mrs. Cypress wants her students to learn, explore and discover every day. Instead of teaching subjects - like math - out of a textbook, she turns them into an interactive activity.

"She makes all the lessons fun ... even tests she's makes fun. She makes us laugh. She's just amazing," Anna, one of Mrs. Cypress' students, said.

Mrs. Cypress has been teaching at Bradley International School for 11 years. On her weekends, she decorates her class for the activity in the week ahead.

"I try to bring in fun projects to have the students fully engage, and if they fully engage, they will remember," Mrs. Cypress said.

And she doesn't just see success in her classroom.

She's one of the driving forces behind the success of the school with the highest growth scores of any Denver Public School over the past four years.

"My main goal is that every child loves to learn and wants to be at school every day. So, if I can just increase their love of learning, then I've done my job," Mrs. Cypress said.

Mrs. Cypress also puts together half a dozen events at the school all centered around math, music, theatre and science.

She's just one of those teachers students remember for a lifetime for the love she gives both inside and outside the classroom.

"It's important that I love them ... because it's my job to take care of them," Mrs. Cypress said.

Congrats to Meg Cypress!
