KUSA - Metropolitan State University of Denver and 9NEWS are proud to honor outstanding teachers who are making a positive impact on our children through the 9Teachers Who Care program.
9Teachers Who Care is a monthly award that recognizes teachers who exemplify excellence in education.
One individual a month, from September through May, will be chosen to receive the 9Teachers Who Care Award. Their story is featured on the second Friday of the month in our 5 a.m., 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. newscasts, then again on the following Saturday in the 7 a.m. newscast.
On Wednesday, 9NEWS Anchors Kyle Dyer and Gary Shapiro gave crystal apples to all the winners as well as certificates of achievement.
The teachers were able to share what makes their jobs so special to them.
