Adam Campbell has been through his own struggles. Yet he chooses to focus on helping others. And that’s what caused his coworkers at the non-profit Friends First to nominate him for a 9 Who Care Award.
Having had three surgeries for brain tumors in his head, Adam sometimes has difficulty remembering names and new tasks.
However, when he came to the Friends First office last year, he began to learn quickly as he developed a connection with others in the office.
Adam is known for his willingness to always share a smile ... and a poem. A focused writer, Adam shared one of his works at a recent conference with Friends First staffers and youth. The organization focuses on helping young people make positive life decisions.
Adam’s hard work prompted Friends First to name him “Volunteer of the Year” for 2016.
