Willie Shepherd is co-founder and chairman of the law firm Kamlet Shepherd & Reichert. Willie practices in the areas of Environmental, Regulatory and Administrative, Land Use and Zoning, and Commercial Litigation. Since founding Kamlet Shepherd six years ago at age 33, Willie has worked on dozens of projects that have changed the landscape of Denver Business. These include the Stapleton Redevelopment Project, the Hyatt Regency Denver Hotel at the Colorado Convention Center, Colorado Mills Regional Shopping Center at Denver West, and the Cherokee Redevelopment of the former Gates Rubber manufacturing site.
Kamlet & Shepherd's mission is to truly understand and tailor high-caliber legal solutions for each client, which range from individuals and professionals, to small and medium size businesses, to Fortune 500 companies. The firm is also deeply committed to service and philanthropy, and its employees. Willie's own civic activism and commitment to the people of Denver have made him a powerhouse in business and the community. Willie is passionate about promoting economic development in the region, supporting key initiatives as a past board member of the Downtown Denver Partnership and participating as a member of Colorado Concern and the Executive Committee of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. To help sustain Colorado's quality of life, he has participated in education and fund-raising outreach for the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. He has mentored countless young people within his own firm and as a volunteer for Junior Achievement. Willie also serves as a board member and past-Chair of the Denver Metro Chamber Foundation.
Willie has just been named one of Colorado's Super Lawyers by an independent statewide poll, and has been honored as one of Denver's top attorneys for five years in the Denver Business Journal. Most importantly, he and his wife Sarah are parents to their first child, Andrew William, born March 4.
