Kickoff the new year with a cool dip in Boulder Reservoir by joining the American Cancer Society for the Boulder Polar Plunge on January 1, 2018.

Registration is $35 through Dec. 31 at boulderpolarplunge.org. After that, registration for the event is $40. The plunge itself takes place at noon.

A warming tent will be available for plungers when they exit the water, and the Boulder Fire Department Dive Team will be on-hand to keep participants safe. Costumes are encouraged!

In addition to the registration cost, participants are encouraged to fundraise.

All proceeds from the event will support the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives, celebrate life and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

The American Cancer Society funds groundbreaking cancer research, provides free information and critical services for people with cancer and supports education and prevention programs.

Registered Polar Plunge participants will receive a warming towel, courtesy of event sponsor Boulder Community Health. The Polar Plunge will also feature food and a beer garden.
