Think No Pink

KUSA – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but women should be thinking "no pink."

MJ Jenkins is a representative of the American Cancer Society, and the author of "Think No Pink: Your BFF Guide to Breast Cancer." She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, but is now cancer-free. She wrote the book to help women with breast cancer through the challenges of breast cancer, and keep them from making the same mistakes she did.

Jenkins says the three mistakes every woman needs to avoid are:

  1. Not having early and frequent breast cancer screenings
  2. Eating cancer-causing foods (potato chips, popcorn, and white flour).
  3. Allowing the midsection to bulk up
