Republican Mike Coffman will keep his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, 9NEWS has projected.
This race was touted as one of the nastiest in Colorado. During 9NEWS' special, neither candidate could name a legislative accomplishment of their opponent that they admire.
Carroll -- now an attorney -- was previously a representative in the Colorado State Senate, where she served as president and later minority leader.
Coffman, who dumped GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump after the Access Hollywood tapes, has held the seat since 2009. Prior to that, he served as the Secretary of State of Colorado and as Colorado State Treasurer.
