With just over 3 weeks until Election Day, the campaigns are trying to pick up every vote possible.

Sunday, former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders was in Denver to campaign for Hillary Clinton.

He spoke on the Auraria campus.

Sanders is trying to get progressives to unite behind Clinton in order to defeat rival Donald Trump in November.

Before Sanders took the stage, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren made a pitch for Hillary Clinton. It's the first time the two have campaigned together.

State Senator Morgan Carroll also spoke at the rally. Carroll, a Democrat, is running against Rep. Mike Coffman for the District 6 seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

More than 1,700 people turned out for the event.
