Fort Lupton — Firefighters are investigating the cause of a shed fire at a gas plant in Fort Lupton on Saturday morning.

Shortly before 10 a.m., fire crews were called to a gas plant operated by Anadarko at 16270 County Road 22 where they found a metal storage shed fully engulfed in flames.

Chief Phil Tiffany with Fort Lupton Fire says the shed was positioned about five feet away from a 500 gallon ethanol tank.

Firefighters worked to cool the tank while battling the fire, which was put out by 10:44 a.m., Tiffany said.

Several employees at the scene were evacuated, but no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

18 firefighters from three different agencies were called to the scene.
