Slick roads left behind from Sunday’s snowstorm led to multiple crashes in the Denver metro area Monday morning.
A jackknifed semi-truck caused traffic backups along both directions of Interstate 25 at Castle Pines Parkway.
The crash, according to CDOT, happened along southbound I-25 at about 6:30 a.m. Two southbound left lanes were blocked off as crews work to clean up the crash.
A left lane of northbound I-25 was blocked by emergency vehicles responding to the scene.
It's unclear if anyone was injured in the wreck.
Another crash along the southbound I-25 ramp to Belleview Avenue caused long delays. CDOT says a center lane of traffic was still able to get through.
A rollover crash in the left lane of westbound C-470 approaching Wadsworth halted traffic in the area. A left lane of eastbound C-470 was also blocked by emergency vehicles.
A 50-gallon fuel spill closed Highway 85 north of Sedalia. South Metro Fire says diesel leaked from a ruptured semi saddle tank.
The right lanes of westbound 6th Avenue between Osage and Kalamath streets were blocked off due to a crash. Traffic cameras showed long delays in the area.
