Colorado transportation officials announced the closure just before 7 a.m.on Saturday
There is no current estimate for when the highway will reopen. Traffic cameras show icy conditions on the 25-mile stretch from Colorado into Wyoming.
At this time, there appears to be no closures on Interstate 25 or Interstate 80. Highway 230 is also open but traffic cameras show snow on the roads.
