Another week, another lineup.
The Colorado Rockies won three of four games in a series against the San Francisco Giants last week. Not too shabby for the Rock's after facing a team with skilled pitchers such as Madison Bumgarner and Johnny Cueto. On the horizon for the next two games is the Los Angeles Dodgers then back to Coors Field for another series against the Giants.
Both DU and CU women's lacrosse continue to rank among the top of the NCAA. The Colorado Buffaloes are 13-2 and the Denver Pioneers are 12-2, both have two games before closing out the regular season and heading into the playoffs.
As for the Denver Pioneers men's lacrosse team, they also continue to be among the best in the league with an 8-2 record and ranked in the top 5 of the NCAA. The Pioneers will play No. 25 ranked Providence at home on Saturday. The Friars are tied for second in the league for the highest scoring defense with 7.09 goals a game, making it a tough test for the Pioneers.
Already in the playoffs, our minor league professional hockey team up north, the Colorado Eagles, have tied the opening series in the ECHL playoffs with the Idaho Steelheads 1-1. The Eagles had the second highest points leader in the league heading into playoffs with Casey Pierro-Zabotel who recorded 88 points in the regular season. Pierro-Zabotel has one assist so far in their two playoff games, the Eagles won in that game.
