9NEWS Prep Rally Honor Roll: Plays of the Week (2/20)

KUSA-- This is a historical week for the 9NEWS Prep Rally Honor Roll.
Ponderosa junior wrestler Cohlton Schultz celebrates with fans after winning his 3rd state title.

This is a historical week for the 9NEWS Prep Rally Honor Roll.

Our top play came from the State Wrestling tournament this past weekend, where Jacob Greenwood of Poudre High School became just the 21st wrestler in Colorado history to win four state championships.

Some other dominating performances from the Pepsi Center's big event cracked our top five. Ponderosa junior and world champion Cohlton Schultz took home the No. 3 spot in our rankings for winning his third consecutive state title.

But before the State Finals, there was a play of the week nominee on the mat. Friday night, Doherty High School senior John Smits won in a unified match. His impressive performance is the No. 5 play on this week's list.

Outside of wrestling, there were a couple great basketball nominees. Our No. 4 play came from Denver East's Ja'shawn Chisel, who had a sweet steal that led to a tomahawk dunk on the other end in his team's game against George Washington last week.

Finally, there was a top-2 matchup in high school hoops Friday night. But, the best play of the night came at halftime. While the teams were in the locker room, unified player Brady Hart was shooting around in front of the packed crowd. The freshman eventually stepped all the way back to the half-court line, and drilled the deep shot to send both student sections into a frenzy. Hart's big heave is our No. 2 play this week.

We've ranked the top plays, but ultimately it's you, the viewer, who decides who was number one. Vote in the poll you see below. The winner will be announced during the 9NEWS Sunday morning Prep Rally.
