The Denver East Angels and Centaurs Warriors girls lacrosse teams are having terrific seasons. Both 6-1 entering Wednesday evening's game, the two met on East's turf  in a battle between two top 5A ranked opponents

The No. 5 ranked Angels weren't scared of the recently ranked No. 10 Warriors scoring two unanswered goals to start the half.

The Angels took a strong hold in time of possession and it began to show on the scoreboard when their shots on net and chances began to stack up.

Although the Warriors were able to break up their opponents scoring in the first half, they couldn't get the ball out of their own zone relying heavily on their goaltender, Morgan Pittser.

After two halves of play, the Angels outscored the Warriors 10-3 at home.

East will face No. 4 Kent Denver on Friday in another top ranked match up.
