DENVER -- It took the Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes five sets to earn a win against the talented Prospect Ridge Academy Miners on Wednesday night.

What looked like a possible upset right after the first two sets for the Buffaloes turned into an even two set game as the Miners fought back.

After taking the first set 26-24 and the second (25-13) the Buffaloes were rolling; senior, Megan Gartland having a strong game for her team

For the Miners, this game wasn't over and the third was a new set. The 11-3 Miners clawed their way back into the game winning the third set (25-23) and the fourth (25-17).

When it came down to the fifth and final set, it was Machebeuf who took the lead and held on for the set win (15-11) and match win 3-2.

Machebeuf is now 9-6 this season.
