LONGMONT -- The Silver Creek Raptors are the only undefeated 8-0 team in 4A football. They faced a tough 6-2 Longmont Trojans looking to be the first to hand them a loss on Friday night.

The Raptors used a balanced offense of both the ground and the air to keep the Trojans guessing to start the game. Eventually Silver Creek would reach the end zone on a long toss from quarterback Dylan Ordway to receiver Junior Ramirez.

At half the Raptors lead 7-0 and it would be the biggest lead of the game.

In the second both Longmont and Silver Creek were unable to find the end zone; however, both would sail a field goal through the uprights for three.

Closing in on the end of the game, Longmont would intercept a Silver Creek pass with seven seconds on the clock and a chance to tie the game.

Despite a few tries Longmont would come up short and Silver Creek holds on to the 10-7 lead and extends their record to an impressive 9-0.
