The SkyView Academy Hawks finished fifth out of 20 teams at the 2016 State Cross Country meet in Colorado Springs.

The Hawks finished with a total of 223 points with an average individual time of 18:01. SkyView's Jordan Wilson crossed the line first for the Hawks in 19th place out of 157 runners with a time of 17:24.17.

The four teams that finished ahead of the Hawks included Alamosa, The Classical Academy, Gunnison and D'Evelyn in fourth. This year the D'Evelyn Jaguars and The Classical Academy Titans dropped from 4A to 3A increasing the competition for the Hawks this year.

In their fifth year competing in the Colorado High School Athletics Association (CHSAA), the Hawks have finished fourth and sixth in the past two years and this year they recorded another impressive finish in the top five for their division.
