DENVER -- It took the Thomas Jefferson Spartans three straight sets to emerge victorious against the George Washington Patriots on Thursday.

From the first serve to the last, the Spartans came ready to hit, block, dig, and do whatever it took to earn the win.

Middle hitter Annie McAninch and outside hitter Jaden Sandoval both brought the heat for TJ, tallying kills in all three sets for the win.

Although the Spartans took down the Patriots with ease in the first two sets, George Washington was able to stick with their opponent until late in the set.

The Spartans began to pull away late for the 25-18 set win.

TJ goes one, two, three against the Patriots to expand their overall record to 13-2.
