KUSA — The roughly 50,000 fans who show up to the Rockies' home opener on Friday can expect whole new experience at the ballpark.

Thursday, the club showed off the many impressive renovations at Coors Field leading into 2018.

The most notable upgrade is also the most noticeable -- the gigantic scoreboard out in left field. The new video screen takes up a whopping 8,369 square feet, which is 258 percent larger than the one from previous seasons.

And, that's just one of the many improvements. See all of the park's new features by clicking on the video below.

As part of major league baseball's mission to make their stadiums more safe, the Rockies will also have expanded netting that extends to the edge of each team's dugout.

The organization has made upgrades for both the fans and the players. Coors Field will show off a rebranded field level premium seating area behind home plate and renovations to the Rooftop (newly rebranded the Coors Light Silver Bullet Bar) and the Club Level bar. And, for the guys suiting up on the field, the team's clubhouse will now feature a new video room and even a barber shop, to name a few of the perks.

All of this will be on full display Friday afternoon, as the Rockies take on the Atlanta Braves at 2:10 p.m. in the first home game of the 2018 season.
