So you think it’s great living the life of an NFL player?

Look at how Billy Turner’s season has gone so far. After starting 12 games at right guard for the Miami Dolphins last year, Turner dressed but didn’t play in Adam Gase’s first two games as head coach this season.

An injury brought Turner into the Dolphins’ third game at right guard for eight snaps. He then started game 4 at left guard and played every snap.

When both Brandon Albert and Laremy Tunsil went down with injuries, Turner was forced in as an emergency starter at left tackle for the Dolphins in their week 5 game against Tennessee on Oct. 9.

It didn’t go so well and Turner was waived last Tuesday, Oct. 11. He was claimed the next day by the Baltimore Ravens, on Wednesday, Oct. 12.

He did nothing wrong in Baltimore but roster numbers and a need at another position forced the Ravens to waive Turner on Saturday, Oct. 15. He was claimed by the Broncos on Monday, Oct. 17 and had his first practice with his third team in one week on Tuesday.

“It’s a business,’’ Turner said. “People looking in from the outside don’t really see that side of it. They just see everybody out there playing on Sundays. But it is a business and sometimes you get cut, you get released because they have to bring in another guy for certain positions.’’

Besides playing at right guard, left guard and left tackle for the Dolphins this season, Turner has spent time at right tackle and snapping the ball from center before practice.

That rare versatility explains why Turner is now a Bronco as their offensive line, which has yet to come together because of injuries, could use the depth.

“I think this is a good opportunity, a good place for me to work on my craft, get better and go out and win some ballgames,’’ he said.

The Broncos are hoping left tackle Russell Okung is cleared from the league’s concussion protocol later this week and he can play Monday against Houston so it would be a surprise if Turner is active for that game.

Then again, Turner started and played a full game just two weeks ago so he’s ready if called upon.

“I mean, yeah, whenever,’’ Turner said. “That’s what this game is all about.’’
