Broncos second-year quarterback Paxton Lynch has struggled in his three NFL starts, but his agent doesn’t appreciate fans calling the Memphis product a bust.
Leigh Steinberg, who represents Lynch, took to Twitter on Monday to point out that several notable quarterbacks also struggled in their first starts.
Steinberg mentioned John Elway — Denver’s general manager — Peyton Manning and Troy Aikman, one of his former clients. All three struggled early in their careers before going on to win multiple Super Bowls.
Steinberg also did not appreciate the fans that made fun of Lynch for crying after he injured his ankle during a 21-14 loss to the Raiders. After suffering the injury, Lynch was seen crying on Denver’s sideline.

Steinberg said Lynch is passionate and that many NFL players cry after suffering injuries.
Lynch finished Sunday’s game 9-14 passing for 41 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. Lynch has been ruled out for 2-4 weeks with a high ankle sprain so the Broncos will start Trevor Siemian against the Dolphins in Week 13.
