As if they didn't have enough problems, the Broncos suffered significant blows to their defensive line Sunday when they lost Derek Wolfe and Domata Peko to injuries.
Wolfe suffered a neck stinger -- an issue he's battled off and on the past two seasons -- in the first defensive series of the Broncos' 21-14 loss to the Oakland Raiders. He was getting carted off the field just as his teammate, cornerback Aqib Talib, became embroiled in a brawl with Oakland receiver Michael Crabtree.
Peko suffered an MCL injury in his left knee and will undergo an MRI on Monday morning to determine the extent of the damage.
Peko had been hit hard with the flu late in the week, yet made his 123rd consecutive start, most among active NFL defensive linemen and a streak that began with the opener of the 2010 season.
